Former tannery is now a designer's home in Florence

Florence is known for its beautiful leather. For centuries the district of San Miniato was the centre of that industry which has now moved to more modern quarters. San Miniato is now developing into a desirable area where many artists and designers are finding homes. Paola Signorini, an interior designer, has transformed the top floor of one such building into a very personal expression of comfort and style.
