Rebuilding an old home in Cape Town turns into a completely new house

Linda bought Tree Tops, a small, single-storey house with a steep pitched red roof that had been built in the 1920s. However, when Linda wanted to add a second storey, she discovered that the house was too fragile to support another floor and realised that if she wanted to increase the size of the house, she would have to rebuild it. A new double-storey house was built on the footprint of the original house.
